With a total length of 2600 km, Vietnam Railways network connects residential area to cultural, agricultural and industrial center, except the Mekong river delta area.

This is the timetable for all train routes departing from Hanoi and ending in Saigon.

The Haoi – Lao Cai (Sapa) trains run every evening, departing from Hanoi Train Station at 120 Le Duan Street. Three run at night and one makes a day trip.

The daytime route offers only hard seats, whereas travelers can enjoy soft-sleepers, air-conditioned, four-berth cabins on the night trains.

Up to now, Vietnam Railways System (VRS) has been the main service of domestic train. Vietnam Railways offers trips on newer trains equipped with modern air-conditioned cars and berths for comfortable overnight trips.

Twice-weekly sleeper train from Hanoi to Beijing…

There is a safe, comfortable & affordable twice-weekly train service between Hanoi and Beijing.  This express train with modern air-conditioned 4-berth soft class sleepers and restaurant car runs from Hanoi to Dong Dang on the Vietnamese frontier.  At Dong Dang you pass through customs & passport control and board a connecting Chinese train for the final run to Beijing.
