Attractive Tours to the Northwest

The People’s Committee of Son La Province, in association with the Son La Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Anh Son Advertising, Trading and Construction Joint Stock Company, will launch a travel program with attractive tours to the northwestern part of Vietnam.

The program aims to present ecological, community, cultural and historical tourism in Son La and promote tourism cooperation between Son La and other northwestern provinces such as Hoa Binh, Dien Bien and Lai Chau.

Mai Thu Huong, the director of the Son La Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the head of the program’s organizing board, said that the program will popularize Son La’s tourism, especially Moc Chau Plateau, and the cultures of ethnic groups in Son La and other northwestern provinces.

The program will be taking place from August 27 to September 2, 2011 with various cultural activities such as camping, traditional food festival, photo exhibition, film festival, folk games and workshop.
